Behind-The-Scenes
Part of what makes the AI community so amazing is its advocacy for open-sourcing, sharing, and education. In the Behind-The-Scenes category, you’ll have the opportunity to spotlight yourself as a creator, and showcase the techniques, tools, and hard work you put into your 3D Animation, Music Video, Narrative, or Open Format submission.
Behind-The-Scenes Requirements
- Provide a high-level explanation or overview video of how you made your 3D Animation, Music Video, Narrative, or Open Format submission. You may also talk about your inspirations for your film and perspective as an artist, but that is not required.
- If you used a sponsored tool, please make sure to highlight that to be eligible for the Sponsored Company Awards
- You may include your social media links or handles.
- Behind-The-Scenes films must be about the 3D Animation, Music Video, Narrative, or Open Format submission that you made for Project Odyssey. Behind-The-Scenes films made about other projects are not eligible for awards.
- Maximum length of 240 seconds/4 minutes.
- Maximum size of 750 Mb.
- No watermark of your handle/username/logo throughout the video.
- If you want to put your info in the intro/outro credits that is okay
- Please remove tool watermarks wherever possible since it distracts from the viewing experience solutions include upscaling + cropping, adding black cinematic bars, or adding gaussian blur mask. Entries that feature a tool watermark won't be disqualified, however it is highly discouraged.
- Rendered at either a 16:9 aspect ratio (1920x1080) OR 9:16 aspect ratio (1080x1920).
- Export in an .mp4 or .webm format.
- Update: No photorealistic depiction of children/minors. This goes against many of the terms of service of the sponsoring AI companies and can't be posted for liability reasons. Non-photorealistic depictions (i.e. anime) are okay, as long as they are in no way NFSW, since that is illegal and we have a zero tolerance policy.
